Situated in the Devisdale conservation area of Bowdon, Cheshire. Windswood is a high quality 4 storey luxury apartment development.
The structural elements of the development included a subterranean parking area including raft foundation and reinforced concrete retaining walls. The sloping nature of the site resulted in deep excavations.
To maximise head height a post tensioned slab and reinforced concrete frame was adopted. Similarly, maximum floor space was achieved at penthouse level by adopting a light steel frame.
NSS also designed the civil engineering elements for the site including retaining walls, external works, and below ground drainage.
